URI 101 Mentor
I had the wonderful opportunity to partake in the URI College of Business' URI 101 program as a mentor for 2 years. As a mentor, I was paired up with another co-mentor to guide a class of about 20 freshman seeking to obtain a business degree. During these classes, our students would learn about the available resources available on campus, as well as the wide range of opportunities offered to students in the College of Business. Our overall mission was to ensure these first-year students had a smooth integration from high school into college and felt as though they found a "home away from home."
URI CHINESE LANGUAGE FLAGSHIP PROGRAM
I took the opportunity to be a part of the Chinese Language Flagship Program, an intensive language learning program offered at 11 universities across the U.S. Through this program, I can graduate with a B.A. degree in Chinese Language, achieve high proficiency in Mandarin, and gain opportunities to study abroad in China, as well.
